Dermal needling is often referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy and is aimed at inducing collagen and elastin production within the skin’s lower levels, whilst also refreshing the appearance of the surface of the skin. Therapies such as Skin Needling can be used as part of a treatment plan, in in conjunction Laser and Light Treatments and Cosmetic Injectables, or as a stand alone Restorative Treatment which will maintain the skin’s integrity and quality.
Needling is a procedure which involves the use of very fine, medical grade needles which are passed across the skin creating micro-channels. This controlled ‘injury’ initiates the natural healing process of the skin. This process results in the production of new collagen and elastin and the regeneration and repair of damaged tissue. This visibly improves skin texture and tone.
These Micro-channels also improve absorption and penetration of active products both immediately after the procedure and in the weeks following.
