Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood and is largely made up of water and proteins, also providing a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate through the body. Platelets (thrombocytes) are blood cells which cause blood clots and other necessary growth and healing functions.

When Platelets are activated it plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process.
